The OPCC had the opportunity to get closer with citizens during EcoPiriDay

  • 21 Jun

On Saturday the 15th of June 2019 took place in Jaca (Huesca) the EcoPiriDay, an event aimed at raising awareness of the importance of protecting the environment and showcasing the work done by POCTEFA projects in the Pyrenees on this theme. With a garbage collection in the streets of Jaca and activities and games for all ages, the goal of the event was to involve citizens directly in issues related to ecology, adaptation to climate change and mitigation of natural risks in the Pyrenees.

The OPCC participated in this event with an information stand and an activity for children, together with its partner FLORAPYR.

The two projects have communicated directly with the public about the results of the OPCC2 project research on the impacts of climate change in the Pyrenees, FLORAPYR presenting in particular the consequences of climate change on the Pyrenean biodiversity.
