The CTP launches a minor contract in the context of the OPCC2 project

The purpose of the contract is the development of a database of good practices of climate change adaptation in the territory of the CTP. This database will be the information bases for the creation of an online catalog of good practices, integrated in the tools section of the OPCC2 information portal, aming to facilitate decision-making on climate change adaptation in the Pyrenees.

The MONTCLIMA project will be presented as a proposal in the next SUDOE call

On Tuesday, June 26, the first preparation meeting of the MONTCLIMA project took place in Derio (Vizcaya). This project will be presented to the first phase of the third call of the SUDOE programme next September.

NEMOR, the new research network in mountain areas

The European mountain research network, NEMOR of which the OPCC is a member, was launched on May 30, 2018 through a public event in Barcelona. NEMOR is led by CREAF from Catalonia,and aims to enhance research in mountain areas to promote a sustainable adaptive and resilient development.

The OPCC2 organized a workshop on agropastoralism and climate change in Andorra

An experiment with Open Top Chambers in four Pyrenean locations of snowfields

Within the POCTEFA FLORAPYR project, researchers of the University of Barcelona have coordinated the installation of passive heating devices known as Open Top Chambers (OTC) during the summer of 2017. These devices produce a slight temperature increase, which makes predictions possible on the short-medium term concerning the vegetation under study, in the context of current climate change.
